Thoughts we become conscious of either come through or originate in the body-mind.
The Soul's goal is to express itself harmoniously - to be creative. When the body-mind attunes to the Soul, we hear its calm, sure advice - the Quiet Voice.
The body's goal is to feed its appetites - particularly the hunger for control. When the body-mind tries to run the show by replaying "shoulds" it has heard from others, we hear the demanding and contradictory loud voices.
Relentless Loud Voices
One moment the loud voices state we must be good and endure our lot; the next, they insist we must fight for what we deserve.
When we silence them, the Quiet Voice connects us with our Soul and shows us how to express/experience love - in this moment.
But how can we quiet the loud voices?
Provoking Authority
One ancient technique - made famous by zen koans - is to ask odd questions like, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?"
|
Koans frustrate and enrage the loud voices.
The loud voices claim to be the source of all right answers; koans have no right answer.
When challenged by a koan, the loud voices complain, "That question makes no sense!"
Breaking Through
The harder they try to give the right answer, the more ridiculous they sound.
Only a CREATIVE answer will do.
"Owning all the right answers" no longer works for the loud voices. Their false claim to power has been exposed.
Still they sputter on endlessly, until we awaken our Will and CHOOSE to have the body-mind listen to the Soul.
Demonstrating Authenticity
To the Quiet Voice, a koan is just another opportunity to express harmoniously - to show the love and joy the Soul feels for Life.
LightQ messages create thousands of koans only your Quiet Voice can answer creatively.
